The Nigerian afrobeat artist, David Adeleke, widely recognized as Davido, has revealed his commitment to donate 300 million Naira to orphanages nationwide.Davido shared this information on his X account, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday, stating that he would provide further details about the distribution on Wednesday.
As part of his annual philanthropic efforts, Davido, in collaboration with the David Adeleke Foundation, consistently contributes to orphanages.
He wrote, “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ .. details of disbursement tomorrow.”
Davido’s assistance to orphanages in Nigeria is not a recent occurrence.
In November 2021,during his 29th birthday celebration, Davido contributed N250 million to 292 orphanages.
Additionally, in July 2023, the artist was reported to have donated N237 million to support over 400 orphanages across Nigeria.
