Bisi Alimi is a Nigerian Gay rights activist public speaker, blog writer and HIV and LGBT advocate who gained international attention when he became the first Nigerian to come out on television, reacts to Botswana Government losing to the court case on revoking gay rights.
Botswana’s High Court in 2019 ruled in favor of the protest for the right to homosexuality and lesbianism. The campaign declared the jail sentences and punishments to be unconstitutional.
Botswana’s government attempted to change their verdict on homosexuality but the government lost on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021.
Reacting to this, Bisi shared a post on Instagram which was boldly written Bostwana, with the Botswana flag and the LGBTQ rainbow flag.
Bisi Alimi, captioned his post with;
“Homophobia will not last forever! Nigeria is next!”
